Bigger decreases were also observed in the figures for the USA and Australia. The average 74% people in both countries were in employment, but they displayed decreases of various extents, as the former declined to 55% and the latter fell to 47%. Notably, Belgium exhibited the most pronounced decline, starting at 79%, nearly fourfold higher than the figure in 2000 (19%).
As for female employment, the USA and Japan had the highest proportions of female employment, with no less than 36%. However, the figures for Belgium were much lower, not exceeding 8%.
