Overall, there were significant increases in the shares of PhDs in Science and Art, whereas First Degrees in Art and Science decreased notably. What is more, the percentage of Masters in Science stayed constant throughout the period.
In 1990, the largest percentage of staff were Masters in Science, constituting 29% of the total, followed by Masters in Art and First Degrees in Science, with around 20% each. First Degrees in Art made up 15% of the company staff, while PhDs in Science and Art had the lowest figures, accounting for 12% and 2%, respectively.
Two decades later, the number of Science PhDs rose sharply to 30% and became the highest mark, surpassing the Science Master employees which were still 29% share. Also, the numbers of Masters and PhDs in Art saw a slight growth, both rising by around 2%. Meanwhile, First Degrees in Science and Art fields experienced dramatical declines, diminishing to 11% Science and only 2% Art.
In summary, all types of qualified staff saw increases and decreases, except for Masters in Science which was dominant in the first year and bested by PhDs in Science at the end of the period. Conversely, First Degrees and PhDs of Art had the lowest figures in the second year.
