Both charts depict the formal academic degree of employees in a company’s advertisement over the 20-year period.
Overall, while the percentage of advertisers who achieved a Ph.D degree and master degree in Science, Art, experienced an upward trend, the opposite was true for recruiters who had a first degree in same subjects. Additionally, the proportion of staff with a Ph.D qualification stayed constant both years.
In 1990, while 29% of staff who have a master’s degree in science secured the top position, that of art Ph.D accounted for lowest figure at 2%. Furthermore, the differences in the percentage of staff with an Art master’s degree and a scientific first degree remained insignificant, being 21% and 20% respectively. Similarly, that of both an art initial degree and Phd science shared the relatively same figure at 15% and 12% for each.
During 20 years, there have been some dramatic changes. The proportion of employees with a scientific master’s degree remained stable, whereas that of Ph.d science increased dramatically, at 30%. Additionally, 23% was recorded in the staff with an art master’s degree, significantly higher than that of a first degree, Ph.D in Art and Science, accounting for only 18% in total.
