Overall, customer satisfaction increased dramatically during the period, from satisfactory to good and excellent.
In 2005, only 5% of guests rated the hotel’s customer services as excellent. This figure witnessed a significant rise to 28 % in 2010. In addition, the percentage of visitors replied good in hotel’s customer service was 14 % in 2005. However, this rate climbed dramatically to 39% in 2010 which was nearly third as high as this rate in 2005.
On the contrary, the percentage of visitors who described the hotel’s customer service as poor decreased from 21% to only 12% in 2005 and 2010 respectively. Similarly, the proportion of people who considered the service to be very poor decreased from 15% to 4% over the 5-year period. Notably, the decrease in ‘satisfactory’ ratings in 2010 indicates a shift towards more positive responses.
