After a year, Rolex remained the dominant brand in the Swiss watch market in 2020 and 2021. Meanwhile, the proportions of four other watchmakers reduced slightly.
In 2020, the percentage of sales for Rolex was the highest, at 39.5%, and it dramatically increased to 46.7% after a year, remaining the top brand. On the other hand, AP was the watchmaker that had the smallest portion of the market in 2020, whereas it decreased from 10% to 9.1%, climbing to the fourth-largest position in 2021.
Longines and Omega’s sales percentages decreased slightly after a year, falling from 14.5% to 13.8% and 10.3% to 8.8%, respectively. Although declining from 10.1% to 8.9%, Cartier achieved second place in 2021. Among them, Patek experienced the most significant change, dropping from 15.6% in 2020 to 12.7% in 2021, approximately 3 percentage points.
