The charts demonstrate the market share of each brand in the Swiss watch industry in 2020 and 2021.
Overall, it can be seen that Rolex dominated the market in both years. Except for Rolex, all the other brands experienced a decline with Omega facing the most notable decrease.
In both charts Rolex, Omega, and Cartier had the most shares in the market with 39.5%, 15.6% and 14.5% respectively. As Rolex shares increased in 2021 to 46.7%, led others to decline while Omega shares were harmed mostly and they plummeted to 12.7%, Cartier shares came to accept a minor decrease to 13.8% shares of the market.
Other brands, Patek, Longines, and AP had 10.3%, 10.1%, and 10% of shares, respectively. All of them declined, however, Patek faced the most impactful one with a 1.5% decrease. Longines lost about 1.2% of their portion of shares in one year. AP also faced a margin decline and reached 9.1% in 2021.
