Overall, the shares held by Rolex remains at the top for the whole year. Besides that, Rolex also had a significant increase in percentage of shares in the Watch Market while all other brands suffered from decreases in shares.
In 2020, the top three brands in the market are Rolex, Omega and Cartier with share proportions of 39.5%, 15.6% and 14.5% respectively. In a one year period, Rolex had its shares increased drastically to almost half of the Watch Market whilst the shares of Omega and Cartier had decreased to 12.7% and 13.8% with Cartier surpassing Omega.
For the three remaining brands, the combined shares of Patek, Longines and AP take up approximately one-third of the market, which is less than that of Rolex. In 2021, their shares decreased by almost 1%, with Patek becoming the smallest brand and AP overtaking both of them.
