The data illustrates the share of the Swiss Watch Market by brand for the years 2020 and 2021. Overall, Rolex has dominated the market during both years, holding approximately 40% of the share, with a slight increase year over year.
In contrast to Rolex, other brands experienced minor declines ranging from 1% to 3% as Rolex continued to grow. When we analyze the data in more detail, we find that most brands were less affected, except for Omega, which saw a significant decline of around 3%, unlike the other brands. Additionally, Omega’s market share has decreased relative to Cartier’s, reversing their positions from 2020.
After reviewing the overall changes, we can observe that brands like Audemars Piguet (AP), Longines, and Patek Philippe maintained relatively stable shares compared to Cartier and Omega, with rates around 8-9% in 2021 following slight declines. In contrast, Cartier and Omega had shares around 13-14%, with Omega having a slightly larger share by nearly 1%. After a year, their rates showed minimal variation compared to the previous year’s figures.
