The charts reveal the figure of water levels in 6 areas in Australia in October 2009 and 2010.
Overall, most of the cities witnessed the upward trend in water levels compared in October 2009 to the same time in 2010. Meanwhile, Darwin and Brisban were excepted, there was a decrease in Darwin and it remained unchanged in Brisbane.
In terms of October 2009, Canberra and Sydney recorded the highest water level by approximately 78%. Followed by Brisbane, Darwin and Perth, respectively around 55%, 43% and 40%. By contrast, Melbourne had the lowest water levels in 2009, accounting for about over 20%.
In October 2010, Perth and Canberra increased significantly, and Canberra reached a peak at 100% to be the city with largest water levels. Melbourne and Sydney climbed gradually to 40% and 80% water levels in 2010. Darwin saw a remarkable decline from over 40 in 2009 to over 20 in 2010. Brisbane remains stable through the year.
