The bar charts compares the percentage of energy consumption in United Kingdom and United States in 2000 and 2006. It is obvious that,oil is the most used type of energy in both countries while nuclear power and ohter renewable sources was the least percentages in 2000 and 2006.By contrast, coal,gas usage had changes.
In 2000,the proportion of coal demonstrated the highest percentage around 30% in UK and about 35% in USA which is almost same as oil consumption just under 30% in UK and just over 35% in USA.In the United Kingdom the figures for gas, nuclear power and other renewable sources were more than the usage in United States,nearly 20% and 15% in usage of gas,almost 15% and under 10% in nuclear power, approximately 10% and well under 10% in other renewable sources.
By 2006,the amount of oil consumed in UK stayed at the previous level,whereas in USA it increased to around fourty percent.The percentage of coal decreased significantly in both countries,from about a third to almost 15% and between almost 35% and roughly 25%.Gas utilization doubled in UK and rose to under 25% in USA.Nuclear power reprecented unsignificant change, while other renewable sources remained stable.
