The charts illustrate the destinations of both graduates and post-graduates except full-time jobs after graduating from college in the UK in the year 2008. Overall, the most significant part of both graduates and post-graduates continued their studies in 2008, however, some of them got into a part-time job. In addition, the number of graduates was nearly ten times more than postgraduates for all destinations except the part-time job.
Almost 30 thousand of the UK graduates’ destination was further study, meanwhile, 17,735 of them worked in a part-time job. By contrast, nearly 20 thousand graduates neither continued to study nor found themselves a part-time job 16,235 of them became unemployed and 3500 worked as a volunteer.
When it comes to postgraduates, the number of students who continued their studies was higher than in other destinations with 2,725 students as it was in graduates. However, the gap between part-time workers and the ones who continued to study was very low (190) in postgraduates. Additionally, the number of who went to work as volunteers and who became unemployed was approximately ten times less than it was for graduates with 345 and 1625 students, respectively.
