The bar charts illustrate what graduate and postgraduate students in the United Kingdom went on to do after leaving university in 2008, excluding those who went into full-time work.
Overall, the majority of UK graduate students continued their studies, while the lowest number engaged in voluntary work. The same was true for postgraduate students
If we look first at the destination of UK graduates, we can see that the highest number of those students continued their studies, at 29,655, which ranked first. Subsequently, 17,735 of those graduates worked in part-time jobs; however, 16,235 did not have a job. The lowest number of those students did voluntary work, with only 3,500.
Similarly, the largest number of postgraduate students had further study, at 2,725, with almost the same number working in part-time jobs, accounting for 2,535. Additionally, 1,625 of them were unemployed, standing third. However, the smallest number of those engaged in voluntary work was just 345, following a similar trend to graduate students.
