The two pie charts indicate the proportion of forests and timber worldwide in South America, Africa, Asia, Europe and North America
Overall, Africa and North America account for the most forests of the total five areas, the amount of wood provided in North America is the largest as well. However, the opposite is true in the case of timber in Africa.
As can be seen, Africa and South America have the highest percentages of forests which were taken up for around 27% and 25% respectively. Turning to the other three regions, Europe, South America and Asia make up for about 18%, 16% and 14% in turn.
Concerning the wood production in five areas, North America makes up for about 30% of timber, being the zone that has the largest of wood. By contrast, Africa has the smallest proportion of timber, only 9% despite its largest forest area. The respective rates for the remaining three territories South America, Europe and Asia are almost the same, approximately 23%, 20% and 18%
