The pie chart illustrates the fraction of the both of the world’s and timber in 5 different regions including South America, Africa, Asia, Europe and North America.
Overall, it can be seen that a majority of trees are in Africa but they possess the least proportion of timbers compared to other regions. However, North America owns timbers the most.
Africa has the largest percentage of forest at about 27% but the amount of timer is one of the lowest at 9%. North America has the second highest number of trees at 25% and this region has about 30% of the world’s timber, a significant amount.
Europe has the third largest forest at 18% and 20% of timer. Whereas, the second largest wood from South Africa is 23% but the forest is only about 16%. And at least the number of trees and the somehow similar quantity of wood get from trees in Asia is about 14% and 18% respectively.
