The pie charts illustrate projections for the proportions of electronic tools in South Korea for the years 2030 and 2040.
Overall, it is evident that the usage of smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches is expected to increase over the ten-year period. In contrast, headsets will maintain the same percentage, while the percentage of computers and speakers will decline.
In 2030, smartphones are projected to account for 20% of electronic tool usage, and this number is expected to rise to 25% by 2040. Tablet usage will be 23% in 2030, and by 2040, it is anticipated to increase to 28%. However, computers are projected to comprise 21% in 2030 and will see a significant drop to approximately 8% by 2040.
Conversely, the percentage of headsets is expected to remain unchanged over the ten-year span. Meanwhile, the usage of speakers is projected to decrease from 15% in 2030 to just 5% in 2040. Although smartwatches will represent 7% of electronic tools in 2030, their usage is set to rise dramatically to 20% by 2040.
