Overall, there is an upward trend in all methods of transportation, except cars, over the period. The bus was the most popular, while the train was the least popular.
In 2004, the proportion of bicycle use made up 9% of the total, after 5 years this figure saw a rise to 16%. Similarly, using trains to go to university was slightly grown, accounting for 4% in 2009. Additionally, the walking trend also surged and sat at 6%.
In 2004, cars had the highest rate, accounting for one-two of the total, but by the end of the year, this fell dramatically to 28% of the total. On the other hand, one-third of people chose to travel by bus, which increased by 13% in 2009. Buses replaced cars as the most popular means of transport in 2009.
