The pie graphs illustrate how retail sectors in a South American country were sold on online platforms in 4 different categories between 2009 and 2019.
Overall, it can be seen clearly from the charts that the proportion of travelling and clothes experienced a downward trend, while the opposite was true for other categories in two periods of time as mentioned above.
Starting at the largest percentage in 2009 (38%), the proportions of tourist industry sales experienced a rapid decrease to almost 10% in 2019. When it comes to the figure of clothes, there was also a considerable decline, from 26% in 2009 to 15% in 2019.
By contrast, the most notable change can be seen in the ratio of music/film, as there is a considerable growth from 20% to 33% in 2009 and 2019, surpassing the ratio of travel to become the industry with the largest online sales in 2019. The proportion in the books industry experienced a slight rise, from 16% in the first year, to almost 7% in 2019.
