Focusing on the larger increases first, a moderate rise was observed in the proportion of unpaid workers in environmental corporations, reaching 29% from 21% over the span of 6 years, making it the largest figure of all in the end. Similarly, the proportion volunteers in sport organisations started at 15% in 2008, a figure that then increased considerably to 25% by 2014. Meanwhile, there was a subtle rise in the figure for individuals volunteered in health care companies from 7% to 8% over 6 years.
In contrast, the volunteering rates in educational organisations witnessed a moderate decline from 24% to 17% between 2008 and 2014. Similarly, starting at 18% in 2008, the figure for volunteers in art related corporations decreased moderately to 12% by 2014. Apart from that, a moderate drop was observed in the percentage of people volunteered in other companies from 15% to 9% between 2008 and 2014.
