The bar charts delineate the usage of five different means of transportation to a specific university in two separate years: 2004 and 2009.
Overall, most vehicles witnessed an upward trend over the given period, except for car. Additionally, car was the most used method of transport in 2004, while it was bus in 2009.
Regarding the two most preferred vehicles, 51% of people travelled to this university by car, which accounted for the highest percentage in 2004; however, this figure declined by nearly a half to 28% in 2009. Moreover, starting at about a third, bus exhibited a surge to 46%, thereby overtaking car and recording the top position.
As for the remaining categories, bicycle constituted 9%, which was triple that of train at the beginning of the period. By 2004, both these types of transportation experienced an increase, with their respective shares of 16% and 4%. Finally, there were 4% of individuals walking to the university in 2004, and then rose minimally to 6% at the end of the time-frame.
