Overall, the total quantity of cars and that of each vehicle type sold increased over the given period, with sedans dominating throughout. Additionally, the market share of sedans decreased, while that of the remaining categories rose over the timeframe.
By 1994, the total number of cars sold 42,900 products in which nearly three quarters were sedans by 31,700 units. However, unspecified types of cars accounted for19% with 8,900 cars, which was almost triple that of SUVs.
By 2004, despite increasing in sales quantity to 44,000 vehicles, sedans documented a drop in percentage to 62%. Moreover, the other types of cars both exhibited surges in both terms, with SUVs rocketing to 12,000 cars and the unnamed types to 25,000 cars, which translated to their respective shares of 17% and 21%. Ultimately, the total number of cars sold ascended to 71,000.
By 2014, SUVs doubled to 24,000 units and overtook unidentified vehicles which declined slightly to 18,000. Although sedans only dropped by 1,000 cars, its share plunged by 11%. Finally, the total quantity increased to 85,000.
