The charts show the frequency of usage of one online site by Australians by four age groups (25-34, 35-44, 45-59 and 60 plus), in 2017.
Overall, the website was most popular among the youth aged on average from 25 to 44, while was rarely or never used by nearly half of the old and by the majority of the elderly. It is also clear that all age groups had nearly similar figures in weekly and monthly users.
Daily website visitors were primarily among the 25-34 year olds constituting 39% of their total number. Following them were 35-44 year olds, who had 26% of them using the website on a daily basis. The old and the elderly were not as active, though 45-59 year olds had twice as much percentage points as that of the elderly who were over 60 (16% versus 8%).
Weekly and monthly usage by Australians were somewhat similar in all groups, at 29%, 27%, 24% and only 17% weekly users, while those who entered only once a month numbered 14%, 15%, 11% and 10% in groups aged 25-34, 35-44, 45-59 and over 60, respectively.
Lastly, there were people who never used the website or visited it only rarely. Close to fifth(18%) of 25-34 year olds were such visitors, compared to 35-44 year olds, with 32%. However, the age groups with the least active users were the old (45-59), with approximately half of their total number, just after the elderly who had 65% of them occasionally watching videos or never using the website whatsoever.
