The charts show information on the ages of populations in Yemen and Italy in the year 2000 and projections for 2050.
The two countries had different trends in group population by age in the year 2000. Yemen had more newborn and children aged under 14 years old by half of its population while people living in Italy in 2000 mostly aged between 15-59, made up a big percentage of 61.6%.
It is projected that in fifty years, more people will be aged between 15-59 years old by 57.3% in Yemen which will make the most population group by age there in 2050. The same cannot be said to Italy that will have a decline in percentage of people aged 15-59 years, however the group of people aged 60 years and above will increase by 42.3% in that country, making up to almost half of its group from the previously 24.1% in the year 2000.
In Italy, there are declines in number of people aged under 14 years old. In 2000, Italy had 14.3% of newborn and teenage under 14 and the number shows that Italy will only have 11.5% people from that age group.
