The line graph compares the manufacturing and consumption of rice in particular country in terms of million tons ,whereas the bar chart shows the proportion of expenditure of rice and other food crops since 1990 along with future predictions until 2040.
Overall,it is clear from the first chart that the number of rice consumed and produced will enjoy an upward trend, however it is evident from the second chart that the percentage of rice and other crops consumed saw a dramatic increase,but it is predicted to level off to its initial point between 1990 and 2040.
Regarding the line graph,25 million tons of rice was manufactured in the first year,then it increased slightly to less than 50 million tons in 2020.Also,this figure is forecasted to see gradual growth at 75 million tons in the next 20 years.Just under 50 million tons of rice had eaten by people in X country in 1990,and it remained relatively unchanged till 2020.However,it is predicted to grow insignificantly to more than 50 million tons by the end of the period.
Looking closely at bar graph,the percentage of rice used stood at below 50% in 1990,and in 2000 it went up to almost three-quarters and continued rising to nearly 100% in 2020.In contrast, it will have decreased significantly to 50% by 2040.Other food crops were more popular in 1990 in particular country with more than 50%.In 2000 the proportion of other food expenditure saw a gradual decline of about 25% .In the following two decades it devalued slightly to less than 25%,however this figure will enjoy considerable rise to more than 50% in 2040.
