The line graph illustrates the prices of banana prices changed over time for four countries, namely Japan, France, Germany, and USA from 1994 to 2004.
Overall, despite huge fluctuations, the for lines follwed distinct trends, Japan experienced the most significant increase, while France and Germany showed moderate changes. By contrast, USA remained consistently lower throughout the period.
At the beginning of the period, banana rates in Japan stood at approximately 1.19 kilograms in 1994. It then rose steadily, reaching nearly 2.28 kilograms in 1995, after some fluctuations its ends at above 2.50 kilograms in 2004. Meanwhile, France began at around just above 1.50 kilograms in 1994, which was lower than Japan. Its figures changed more moderately, finishing at roughly 1.17 kilograms by 2004.
Turning to the remaining regions, Germany started at below 1.50 kilograms in 1994, and showed a major fluctuations, and ended at around 1.15 kilograms in 2004. By contrast, USA prices experienced very limited change, starts at 0.07 kilograms in 1994, remaining within a narrow range throughout the period showing the least variation overall and ends at roughly 1.13 kilograms by 2004.
