The diagrams illustrate what changes took place in Felixstone in the UK between 1967 and 2001. Overall, the area had undergone a major transformation throughout the period, including an additional hotel, private beach, car park, and wind turbines. However, most facilities in the western part had remained intact.
In 1967, a circular-sized golf course and farmland were situated in the northern part of the area, while between those two amenities, shops were located separated by a high street. Below those facilities, there was a fish market next to a marine pier. In addition to this, in the centre of the area, a café was situated and a hotel next to it. Furthermore, the sea was in the south of the map, whereas the dunes were in the west.
Over the 34 years, the area had experienced primary changes. While the farmland had made a way to a hotel block with a swimming pool and tennis courts, the second building of shops was reconstructed into apartments. Meanwhile, the private beach had come at the expense of the fish market and half of the marine pier. With the addition of the car park adjacent to the hotel and wind turbines, the area had become intense. In contrast, the other parts such as dunes, sea, and golf course remained unchanged, with the exception of the café, which was relocated to the southern part of the map.
