The given diagram demonstrates the process through which rainwater is collected and used for household purposes.
As can be seen from the diagram, rainwater is collected from two main sources including a dam and a tank before being treated to use.
The first way to collect rainwater is from a dam. To start with, a dam collects rainwater falling from the sky and pumps it to a water treatment plant for further processing. At the subsequent stage of the process, rainwater is sent to houses and safe enough for residents to drink. Then, after being used, the water is moved to a wastewater treatment plant for recycling and domestically served once again. Finally, the excess waste water is carefully treated in the plant before being released to rivers.
The second way to collect water is from a tank. Rainwater falling on houseroofs is stored in a tank beside the house. Then, the water is carried to the house for domestic use through a system of piles. After being used, the water is also treated similarly as the former way. Storm water or rainwater on the ground in heavy rains is also treated before flowing into rivers.
