The image presents two maps of a coastal town labeled as "Portland 1950" and "Portland 2007". Both maps are oriented with North at the top. In the 1950 map, the layout features prominent areas labeled as "Industrial Area" with buildings and chimneys, "Grassland", and "Car Park", adjacent to the main "Road" that intersects the top section near the "Sea" area which has wave symbols. The 2007 map shows a significant development of the town. The previously open areas are now densely developed; marked facilities include a "Park", "Swimming Pool", "Yacht Marina", "Multi-storey Car Park", "Shops", "Cinema", and "Apartments" which are situated alongside a winding "Road" which also leads to the sea depicted with wave icons. No numerical data points/percentages are provided for any sections on the maps.

The given two diagrams illustrate the transformation of Pentland, the year start with 1950, and end with 2007.
Overall, it is clearly evident that after many years that place developed with several facilities, including accommodations, shopping centres, and entertainment activities.
In 1950, in the north side of the map where the sea was situated, whereas in 2007, a Yacht Marina was made besides the sea. If we see the northwest part of the map, there was a industrial area, and a grassland in the southwest part. On the contrary, in 2007, that place became a multi-storey and parking spot, along with a park and a swimming pool in the corner of the northwest side. In addition, in the southwest part where a cinema hall was built with some shopping malls.
In the part of the east, there was also a car parking area, but it was turned to a lot of apartments in 2007. As we see in the part of the southeast, there was a grassland which was filled with accommodations and shopping malls for public. Additionally, there was road in the middle of the map which was remained same during that time.
