Overall, there have been significant changes in that area. The number of the facilities increased dramatically. Moreover, the opportunities for the car parking rose with several car parks. It is also worth mentioning that the area become more residential.
The Assford used to accommodate fewer facilities in the past. The river in the center divided the area into 2. On the left-side, the site was occupied by trees. Under this forest, there was a big road. To pass across the river people used ferry. On the opposite side, several houses situated in the past.
Now, the changed rendered the area residential. The ferry is not used nowadays, as there has been constructed a bridge for both — cars and pedestrians. The forest has been cut down, and freed up space give access to build a car park. On the right-hand side, the area has accommodated a lot of houses. Between road and foot bridge there has been located some houses. Under which, the circular car park is located. To the top, there has been a road leading to car park surrounded by residential area with a lot of houses and several apartments.
