The given maps illustrate the floor layout of a public library 20 years ago and now, after modifications.
Overall, the library has undergone significant alterations, including introduction of a computer and lecture room, cafe, self-service machines. On the other hand, some facilities such as, area for CDs, videos, computer games, adult non-fiction books section, enquiry desk, and tables and chairs have been removed.
In detail, tables and chairs occupied the center of 20 years ago version of Central Library. Adult fiction and non-fiction books situated on the both sides of the library, on the north and east, respectively. Enquiry desk was on the right from the entrance. Reading room was dedicated for newspapers and magazines and there was an area for CDs,videos, and computer games as well. Additionally, the was a special place for Children’s books on the south-east of the library.
In the present ayout, we observe some adjustments such as, new services, book sections, and items. The old area for CDs videos, computer games converted into a place where accommodate 2 sofas, Children;s fiction books, and Storytelling events. Newly added Lecture room was constructed near the adult fiction books, which is mooved to a new place. Furthermore, An information desk, and service machines have been introduced. Enquiry desk was replaced by a new cafe that opened for visitors. Library accommodates a computer room and all reference books as well.
