The partitions in the Central Library remain largely the same over the last 20 years. However, there are significant changes to the layout.
The most noticeable difference is the removal of tables and chairs at the centre of the library. Instead, there is now a cafe to the right of the entrance. Opposite the cafe, to the left of the entrance, there is now a computer room, which used to be a reading room with newspapers and magazines. Children’s books have been relocated to the top left corner of the floor plan, with an expanded space. In this area, there are not only chlildren’s fiction books, but also a space with 2 sofa sets installed diagonally of each other for storytelling events.
