The given diagram depicts the sugar-making procedure by using sugar cane.
Overall, there are 7 steps in the manufacturing process, starting from growing plants and concluding with the last product produced. Moreover, most cultivating and collecting tasks are done by human remaining works are achieved by the use of machinery tools.
To begin with, the sugar canes will be grown and it often takes about 12 to 18 months for the crops to be completely harvestable. Next, sugar canes will be collected by two methods: using human’s power or mechanical assistance.
In the third step, the sugar canes will be turned into juice by a crushing machine before being purified by the use of a limestone filter. In the following step, juice will be heated to cause evaporation, condensed into a kind of liquid called syrup. The syrup, then will be brought to a centrifuge and will be separated for sugar crystal. Finally, sugar will be produced by drying and cooling the crystal.
