The picture displays the process of manufacturing sugar from sugar cane.Overall, there are seven stages in the process which starts with planting and growing of the sugar canes and ends with the drying and cooling of the finished product.
In the first step, the sugar cane is allowed to grow for about 12 to 18 months, which is then harvested by either the use of tractors or hand. From there, they are then taken to a machine which will crush them to produce the juice. The juice is then transferred to a limestone filter to purify the juice.
In step five, the juice is then put into a container called evaporator where heat is applied to convert it into syrup. This is then taken a centrifuge machine that removes sugar crystals from the syrup. These crystals are placed in an open container for drying and cooling to achieve the final product, sugar.
