Over the provided period, it is clear that there were noticeable changes the number of phone owners per thousand of the population. However, numbers tended to fall in counties with biggest level of phone ownership, whereas number generally rise in counties which had fewer phone owners in 2000.
In 2004, level of phone ownership was in Singapore presicely 430 people. This figure lower than 2000 figure of around 460 per thousand. Brunei Darussalam the second highest levels of phone ownership were recorded, and numbers fluctuated around 250 thousand level across the five years. Countries Cambodia and Vietnam had mush lower levels of phone ownership and increased 2002, rather than decreasing. In the remaining countries, the number of landline phone owners remained below the 100 per thousand level between 2000 and 2004.
