The diagram illustrates how to grow pineapples and manufacture pineapple products.
Overall, there are two main processes including natural development process and different methods to produce outcomes, namely canned pineapples, juice, and exported fruits.
As can be seen from the natural process, pineapples need to be planted in areas with high temperatures and strong sunlight, ranging from 26 to 30 degrees. Moreover, the distance of the crown line is also restricted about 26 cm. After seven months, a type of substance called ethaline is sprayed directly onto the crowns to support the development process. Five months later, when pineapples reach their maturity, they are 30 cm and 2 kg in height and weight respectively.
As regards manufacturing product process, pineapples have to be cleaned and then divided into three sizes. Small and medium-sized fruits both have their crowns removed before being used for different purposes. While the former are crushed into small pieces to extract pineapple juice, the latter are slided and packed in cans. By contrast, large-sized pineapples are coated by a wax layer. When this process is completed, they are packed into cartons and exported by freight to diverse international markets.
