The picture illustrates how olive oil is made.
Looking at the diagram, it is clear that there are four main places in the process of making olive oil. It begins with collecting the olives and finally with transporting them to store.
At the beginning of the process, olives are collected with rake by farmers. Next, these are stored in a huge vat for 2 to 3 days. Afterward, olives are washed by cool water in order to remove dirt remaining on the surface of them, followed by crushing olives with hammer equipment so as to categorize olive stones and olive paste. While olive stones are contained in a container to take away, olive paste is transferred to the next stage.
In the process of pressing and filtering, olive paste is pressed by a hydraulic press, followed by filtering through a filter to get the essence of olives and also oil. After that, oil is moved to a centrifuge which is spinning and separating water from the oil mixture. The oil which is retained then is moved into bottles in order to preserve quality. Subsequently, these olive oil products are transported to stores where customers will come to purchase them.
