The picture illustrates different stages of water cycle.
Overall, the process is curcular in nature, consisting of four main stages. Cycle starts with water evaporation from plants and various reservoirs and eventually returning precipitation, which restarts the process.
The first step is water evaporation from the surface of the earth. Then the water in the form of steam is transportated in atmosphere, where it is condensated into liquid again. After having condensated, the steam is transported to clouds. Once the steam has been transported to clouds, the water is then precipitaded as rain and other types of precipations. Following this, one part of water goes to surface runoff, while other part is infilltrated into ground water.
After that, the ground water is flowed to plants, so that they can get essential mineral resourses . When plants are watered enough, the water starts to evaporate again, returning to the cycle’s start.
