The diagram below illustrates the eight sequential stages involved in the production of coffee products from coffee beans.
The entire process, comprising eight stages, transforms raw coffee beans into consumable products, ultimately in the purchase of products.
The initial stages of coffee production involve harvesting, processing, and drying. Harvesting, a yearly process, marks the beginning of the production cycle. Subsequently, the coffee beans undergo processing, followed by a 24-72 hour drying period. These preliminary stages lay the foundation for the subsequent steps in the production process.
The latter stages of coffee production involve hulling, roasting, packing, delivery, and purchase. Following hulling, the coffee beans are roasted in an oven for 10-20 minutes. The roasted beans are then packed in paper or plastic bags, ready for delivery to retailers. Ultimately, the coffee products are purchased by consumers, culminating the production cycle.
