The figure depicts the growth journey that prepares pineapples for harvestation and the series of processes they go through in order to transform into products that can be exported to other countries or consumes in various different forms.
Overall, the process starts from planting the pineapples and nurturing for them using proper environmental and chemical catalysts until it is ready to be harvested. Once attained, the pineapples can be processed in three different ways to prepare juice, canned pineapples or ship to a different place.
To start off the entire growth process, the pineapple is first planted and exposed to sunlight for 7 months all the while maintaining a temperature of 23 to 30 degrees celsius. During this time, the crown of the pineapples grows to be 26 cm when it is the perfect time to spray ethaline for its growth. After 5 more months, when the crown is 30 cm and the fruit weighs 2 kg, it is ripe enough to be harvested and cleaned thoroughly with only water.
Some of the pineapples are then glazed with protective wax and packed in containers by arranging them nicely in order to export and distribute them abroad. On the other hand, the crowns of some pineapples are eliminated before splitting them into tiny slices to store in a can for preservation which will later be sold at stores as canned pineapples. The rest of the pineapples are used to make juice where the outer layer of the skin is first peeled. Afterwards, an extractor is used to squeeze out the pineapple into juice.
