The bar chart illustrates the expenditure on five consuming categories between France and the UK in pound sterling in 2010.
Overall, the French spent more on computers and perfumes while the opposite was true for the British on automobiles, books and cameras.
According to the chart, there was an inconsiderable gap of 50000-pound sterling in UK spending on cars compared to France.
The gap expanded more when the expenditure on the books of the UK was 400000 pounds, half as much again as France. Moreover, it is clear that the money the British purchased on camera was over-doubled by the French, which was 350000-pound sterling and 150000-pound sterling respectively.
On the other hand, France witnessed higher payments for computers with a slight 30000 pounds. Besides, perfume was a more successful product sold in France. The figure for France’s spending was 200000-pound sterling which was about 60000 pounds more than the UK’s.
