We are provided with three maps of a place at Queen Mary Hospital demonstrating its re-construction and changes made since 1960. Generally speaking, under closer inspection, the place has expanded and developed its infrastructure in a sense of offering more facilities for its population.
By comparing to 1960, in 2000 the premises, bearing a more useful and reasonable purpose, have been constructed. This suggests that instead of a shopping centre, a cancer centre appeared, covering the area which was earlier occupied by a farmland as well. Apart from that, a new pharmacy, stuck to the same hospital, and a nursing school, beside the existing car park, were also built there, too. Additionally, it is worth noting that the difference between 1980 and 2000 years appear to be not so significant, as only some expansion regarding the cancer centre has been made.
To sum up, from 1960 the Queen Mary Hospital has undergone particular and noticeable alterations, making it a more appealing place, yet a beneficial field full of health care infrastructure that definitely will help the city to deal with health issues among its inhabitants more effectively.
