Band 6+: The diagrams below show the layout of a preschool classroom in 2010 and now. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The provided illustration reveals a comparison between the current state of a kindergarden classroom and its state as it was 15 years ago.

First of all, it can be noticed that positions of some of the objects have not been changed since 2010, namely the bibliotheque to the left of the entrance, play area in the north-west corner, surounded by various toys, art supplies in the upper right corner and the sink to the right of the entrance.

Although the corners have not been changed, the center of the room was significantly transformed.The play area near the entrance of the room, as well as the teacher’s desk were fully removed. The white-board, the mediasystem, puzzles and block, which were situated in the right half of the classroom, were changed with smart-boards speakers and a computer.

Another major change appeared in the north-east corner near the art supplies – a brand new art area was established there. Speaking of the classroom tables, their number remained the same, although they were slightly moved to the west, where were previousely the teacher’s desk and the removed play area.
