The diagram illustrates the stages involved in transforming plastic cans for further use.
Overall, there are about nine stages leading to the production of new items from the old ones. Moreover, the process involves both the use of machines and human contributions.
To begin with, individuals dispose of their bottles with transformable qualities into a trash bin designated for that purpose. Next, they are transported in a large van to the recycling centre, where they are sorted out properly. Following this, they are pressed into a block form to make it easy to be crushed. The plastic bottles are then crumpled by two circular wheels and are collected in a large bowl of water, placed underneath the crusher used to wash the cans. Moving on, the cleaned plastics are put into a grinding machine which reduces them to small pebbles called pellets. Afterwards, these pellets are heated to make the raw constituents which are now converted to newer products such as writing materials, t-shirts, bowls and cans that can also be renewed in future.
