The diagrams illustrate the life cycle of salmon which is considered to be a large-fish species.
It is clear that there are three distinct stages of salmon’s life, namely fry, smolt, and adutl salmon.
At the first stage of salmon life cycle, salmon begins life as eggs which are hidden among reeds in the slow moving upper river. After approximately five to six months a next stage begins by turning eggs into newborn salmons called fry. These baby salmons will live in the lower fast-flowing river for almost 4 years. Meanwhile, their length are maesured between three and eight centimeters.
Once salmons reach twelve to fifteen, they are named smolt. They migrate to open sea and pursue their life for virtually 5 years. Afterward, salmona are grown up and their size are between 70 and 76 centimeters. Finally, they return to birthpalce, where the eggs will be lied, and the cycle starts anew.
