The line graphs show the average money families spent on their children’s sport activities and the number of children took part in three different sport from 2008 to 2014.
It is clear that parents spent more money each year on their children’s sport activities in 6-year time period. More children attended in football than athletics and swimming.
In 2008 families spent averagely 20 pounds each month and it was the lowest spending. In 2010 and 2012 average monthly spend rose by approximately 10 pounds, 5 per each. 2 years later, in 2014 it reached the highest point which was almost 35 pounds.
In 6-year time period, football was the most popular sport with more than 7.5 million participants. By the 2014 it was still the most practised sport. In 2008 swimming was the second most participated sport with almost 2.5 million children while the athletics was the less attended sport with less than a million participants. In 2010, the number of children who was participating athletics increased by 5 million children while 2.5 million children were attending swimming. By the 2014 there were not noticeable changes on the numbers.
