The two pie charts indicate the average usage of energy in Australia and the greenhouse gas emissions that come from this energy use. Overall,, according to the pie charts the largest percentages of energy were used for water heating and heating processes, while the greatest amount of gas emissions comes from other appliances and water heating.
To begin, people in Australia used 30% of energy to heat water and 42% for heating process. The consumption of energy for refrigeration is at 7% while the figure for other appliances is roughly double of that, at 15% of the total. Very few percentages of energy used for cooling and lighting processes at 2% and at 4%, respectively.
In terms of greenhouse gas emissions the greatest proportion of emission comes from water heating , at 32%. Other appliances, surprisingly, accounts for nearly the third, 28% gas emission. Compared to the energy usage for heating the figure for gas emission is very low, at 15% which is nearly the same as that for refrigeration, at 14%. The emitted gas for cooling and lighting makes up still low percentages, at 3% and at 8%, respectively.
