The two graphs depict how much Australian families consume energy and the amount of greenhouse gas they release from their energy consumption in six categories.
Overall, most of the energy are used in water heating and heating, consisting more than half of the total consumption. The highest amount of greenhouse gas emissions are released by water heating and other appliances used in the houses.
Regarding household energy use, heating and water heating acount for 42% and 30%, respectively. This is followed by other appliances and refrigeration with about a quarter and 7%, respectively.
Focusing on greenhouse gas emissions, water heating has the highest percentage, which is around on third. The other appliances acount for 28%. Heating has the third place in this category with around 14% and refrigeratio followed that by around 14%. Finally, lighting and cooling released the lowest amount of greenhouse gas into atmospher with 8% for former and 3% for latter.
