Overall, the London population contributed the highest share of living in flats, whereas the largest proportion of Cambridge citizens preferred to live in detached houses. However, living in the terraced houses contributed the least shares across all regions.
There was a significant difference between the proportions of the three regions’ population living in flats, whereas the share of London stood at 60%. Moreover, the proportions of Oxford and Cambridge accounted for lower shares (at approximately 29% and 20%, respectively).
The proportion of the Cambridge population responsible for the highest shares of living detached and semi-detached houses was at almost 35% and roughly 30%, respectively, followed by that of the Oxford population, which was responsible for a slight lower shares (roughly 25% and 30%, respectively). In contrast, the London population accounted for the lower percentages among other regions (just below the 10% and approximately 28%, respectively).
Additionally, all three regions shared the fewest percentages of people living in the terraced houses (just below the 20% for each).
