According to the graphs, the application rates for music programs grew rapidly from 60% to 90% between the 1970s and 1980s. However, the admission rates for the music section surprisingly rose significantly. Furthermore, the application percentage reached a low of about 75% in the 1990s. Nevertheless, application percentages peaked at 90% in the 2000s. In 2010, the application percentage dropped to 62%.
In contrast, the application rates for science programs saw a slight increase until the 2000s but then stabilized at 90% over the following years. Meanwhile, the arts section fluctuated from the 1970s to the 1990s, eventually stabilizing at around 70% per year. Additionally, it continued to rise from 70% to 80% during the 2010s.
Overall, the admission rates exhibited fluctuations among all sections, although the science programs saw a minor increase in application rates. Remarkably, the arts section’s admission rate also experienced a surprising rise.
