The table below illustrates the number of student applications for four different subjects in three years 1990, 2000, and 2010.
Overall, it can be seen that biology and engineering had their biggest number of applications in 1990 year. Meanwhile, in 2000 and 2010 business subject took the top of applications. In addition, all four subjects were on their average number in 2000 in comparison with the other two years.
It is clear that in 1990 engineering was the most popular direction and had 4000 applications. Biology, business, and social networks had 3000, 2000, and 1000 applications, respectively.
On the other hand, in 2000 and in 2010 business accepted the largest number of applications of 3000 and 4000, respectively. Engineering amd biology were much required in 2000 than in 2010. Social work, unlike the previous two subjects, had a jump in 2010 and reached almost 2000 applications, when in 2000 this number was about 1500.
