The line graph illustrates China’s inhabitants by age group in 1960 and prediction for 2050.Overall, it’s clear that in China over the period and in the future there will be increase in age group between 16 and 64 years old. While birth rates and over 65 years old will fall dramatically.
Looking at the information in more detail, in 1960, the proportion of age groups from 0 and 14 was the highest, at around 42%, followed by the figures for Chinese aged 15 and 64 and over 65 years old, at nearly 37% and 5% respectively. In 2020 , China’s population over 15 and 64 years old skyrocket to 70% being the highest point, a figure than that then dropped to 52.5% in 2050.
Regarding with percentage of people from 0 and 14 showed opposite trend. Starting with 1980, there was a considerable decrease in age group 0 and 14 . Approximately, 35 % lived in China after which it will show a decline to 18 in 2030,before ending the period at 17.5%. Finally, only 5 % people lived in China in 1960, and it maintain the same level 40 years until increase almost to 25% in 2050.
